Women who experience difficulty becoming pregnant now have a variety of options at their disposal. Most treatments involve oral medications, with some including artificial insemination. This will result in pregnancy a majority of the time, but some patients may ultimately require In-Vitro Fertilization, or" IVF". This is an advanced technique in which the egg is retrieved from the woman, then mixed with the sperm in an artificial environment. The resulting embryo is then placed back in the woman's' uterus to develop. This procedure requires a state-of-the-art laboratory, and a doctor specializing in advanced infertility medicine.
